Dining out in a post-lockdown world deserves to be extra-special and with a stunning woodland feast in your own private glade it promises to be utterly unforgettable.
Forget plastic screens, mobile phone ordering and one-way systems, Buckinghamshire company Nomadic host dinners in an ancient forest in the Chiltern Hills, where flora, fauna and roaming rabbits and deer surround you.
Their signature woodland feasts take place once a month, but the exact location of the dinner and the menu is kept a secret to add to the magic and wonder.
First, you forage for wild seasonal ingredients on the private estate, then you gather around a huge table, beautifully carved out of a fallen birch tree surrounded by ancient forest, whilst the meal is cooked on an open fire in front of you by a local chef.
In the past, Nomadic have worked with MasterChef champions and award-winning executive chefs from some of London’s top restaurants. They’ve also catered for some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
Worried it might rain? We hear you. But should the British weather try to stop play, Nomadic have a fully-heated tipi that you feast under instead.
If dining indoors after lockdown doesn’t appeal, then this might be an ideal solution. Save us a chair! Tickets from £90 pp.
