The Scrumpy Shepherd is your very own secluded retreat from the world, whatever the season.
You’ll find this beautifully bespoke shepherd’s hut sitting quietly in an orchard on a 350-year-old Suffolk farm, waiting to keep you warm and cosy and restore you back to you.
More luxurious than many glamping spots, the owners have gone the extra mile to ensure your stay is five-star in every way. From the marshmallow soft double bed, fold-out oak table and chairs, to the hand-built oak kitchen and ensuite shower room.
All bed linen, towels, cooking utensils, Emma Bridgewater crockery is supplied, plus a starter pack of oils, condiments and Stokes sauces.
Better still, upon arrival you’ll find the The Scrumpy Welcome Tray ladened with local and homemade treats, including a home-baked cherry and walnut cake (the walnuts are from a tree on the farm), freshly laid eggs (from the farm’s chickens), marshmallows for toasting and sloe gin (made from sloes in the farm hedgerows).
And if you fancy it, you can also request two-course suppers and breakfast baskets when you book. Scrumptious indeed.
