August Moon Tea is a very special tea house in Cheltenham where you can enjoy and experience an ancient ritual practice, the traditional Chinese tea ceremony.
Run by Estelle Liu, August Moon offers traditional tea ceremonies (in the shop or in the comfort of your own home), tea workshops, as well as tea and silence sessions with music or poetry.
These tranquil sessions create a unique moment where you put your entire attention on the cup of tea you are holding; observing life, time and impermanence all in the same, peaceful moment.
This ancient Chinese practice helps you to connect with your inner self, as well as the people around you. It’s a soulful experience that’s not to be missed.
As well as the peaceful ceremonies, August Moon also offers a monthly tea subscription service, a shop full of black, red, green and white tea – all sourced from small farms – and collections of handmade tea porcelain so you can recreate a tea ceremony at home.
