Fallen Angel, Mousehole

Utterly Sinful Cornwall Honeymoon Home for Two

Gallery

🛌  Sleeps 2 adults | 🥂  Luxury extras to enjoy |  🌊   Sea views | ❤️  Uniquely designed

Fallen Angel has to be one of the best honeymoon homes in Cornwall. With a spectacular location overlooking Mount’s Bay, floor-to-ceiling windows that drip with sunlight, a bathtub with insane panoramic views, and a range of luxury treats to bolt-on to your stay, this secluded hideaway is devilishly naughty. Halo off. You’re gonna love it.

Be warned: Fallen Angel in Cornwall is not the sort of place you’ll ever want to leave. Walk through the elaborately carved Moroccan door into subtropical gardens and your heart won’t be your own any longer. Through the palms and succulents you’ll spy it: an angular, black, rubber-clad structure cascading down the garden like a night waterfall.

Walk up through the immaculate gardens, rising ever closer to the heavens, and breathe in the peace and quiet that comes with being on the hillside in Mousehole. Even before you open the door, you’ll know this is an extra-special place.

Once upon a time, this hidden-away Cornish honeymoon house was a derelict cottage. But, with the help of some clever architects and a lot of manual labour, the owners Jane and Mark have created a beautiful retreat that stands apart from the traditional stone cottages you expect in this part of Cornwall.

Indeed, it’s the only rubber house in the entire South West – and no expense has been spared in getting it on point for honeymooners and loved-up couples.

Inside Fallen Angel, the space is sublime. And everything is bespoke. From the traditional Moroccan ornaments to the gorgeous sandblasted oak kitchen. From the brushed-steel roll top bath that sits in front of a huge picture window to the stunning commissioned artwork. From the bright tiles that line the splash back to the Spanish patterned floor tiles that warm your soles thanks to under-floor heating.

The contemporary luxuries are everywhere, too: an egg-shaped wood-burner, a Sonos sound system, remote-controlled blinds, a shower big enough for two, a ‘floating’ king-sized bed with a feather topper and Egyptian cotton linen. There’s also Sky TV and fast broadband to keep you entertained.

Chances are, you won’t need any help staying occupied at Fallen Angel. The views from the secluded balcony are stunning enough. Use the binoculars provided and you’re sure to see seals playing in the waters off St. Clement’s Isle like we did during our stay at Fallen Angel.

Should want a little extra sinful naughtiness – after all, you are on honeymoon in Cornwall – you can have it. Private chefs can cook you a 3-course meal. Specialist wedding stylists can create a romantic dining experience inside or outside. And a professional masseuse can stop by to pamper you both for a couple of hours by the fire.

Tear yourself away from Fallen Angel and Mousehole’s pretty harbour, dotted with fishing boats, is just a few minutes’ walk. Try the fresh Cornish seafood on offer at its eateries and enjoy local ale or gin at its pub, the Ship Inn – a favourite of Dylan Thomas.

Penzance is around three miles away, St. Michaels Mount is only nine miles away (you can see St. Michael’s Mount from Fallen Angel), and you’re only a 20 minute drive from the beautiful beaches of the North Coast (Sennen Cove, Porthcurno and St. Agnes). Yes, there is a God.
