Glamping in Pembrokeshire comes in all shapes and sizes. But nothing comes more snug or cosy than Cwtch Camping: 3 beautifully built and immaculately designed timber cabins, set in their own private woodland just outside Pembroke, Wales. And perfect for a group of you.
In Welsh, Cwtch means a cuddle or a hug and each Cwtch Camping Cabin is just that – a virtual hug in timber where you’ll feel safe and rested after a day exploring the local area.
Ty Cwtch is the largest cabin of the three cabins on this Pembrokeshire glamping site and comfortably sleeps 4. You’ll find this n-shaped cabin sitting modestly under a canopy of trees, the sunlight dappling its timbers and the sounds of birds speckling the air above your heads.
Inside, the buzz and chirp of nature is replaced by the hush and quiet of thick duvets, Welsh woollen blankets, and piles of marshmallowy towels – all laid out neatly on a double-size bunk bed.
The rest of the space reflects the owner’s incredible generosity: fresh sourdough bread and Pembrokeshire honey (available on request, to minimise waste), Cwtch Camping’s own brand of coffee, and books regaling the local area and cabin life.
Not to mention the cool box sitting on your porch, which was filled with local cheeses, pate, hummus, ice, strawberries and milk when we stayed (not included, but available on request), and the freshly-chopped firewood piled high by the camp kitchen that’s free to use for your firepit during your stay.
Caban Bach and Caban Cariad complete the clutch of three that make up Cwtch Camping. Both cabins sleep 2, are sheltered from the outside world and hidden from the others, and both are just as thoughtfully laid out and generously finished on the inside as their larger sibling, Ty Cwtch.
A short walk from all three cabins, there’s a large camp kitchen stocked with everything you need for a stress-free weekend: a gas stove, cutlery, kettles, glasses, cups, bowls and dishes – there’s also a local pizza menu for the nights when cooking is the last thing you want to do.
Walk a little further into your private patch of woodland and you’ll find the shower block. Spacious, clean and private, it boasts a rainforest shower, hot water, flushing loo, individual towels to dry your hands and Neal’s Yard toiletries.
Yes, the owners of this glamping site in Pembrokeshire really have thought of everything to make a stay with them comfortable and memorable. All you have to bring is your sense of adventure.
