Step inside and lose yourself in the huge selection of classes and workshops for adults and kids that run all year round.
Wander the galleries showing work by local and national artists, makers, craftsmen and designers, then go and meet the makers in the studios themselves. Afterwards, grab lunch in the friendly upstairs cafe (with a delicious menu of homemade, Fairtrade, organic and vegan dishes), then head downstairs into the shop for some retail therapy. It’s full of beautifully-crafted pieces direct from independent artists from around the UK, meaning you can pick up something truly unique to take home.
Want to stay for longer than a day at New Brewery Arts (we don’t blame you)? Next door to the centre is the fabulous Barrel Store accommodation. A stylish self-catering hostel that breaks the hostel mould, the Barrel Store has 14 rooms sleeping up to 43 people. Rooms are single, double or family, come with sheets, towels, shampoo and shower gel – and free WiFI.
