Stay as a group at Pathgreen Glamping or stay as a couple and you’ll notice the difference this special place makes to your wellbeing almost instantly. It’s thanks in no small part to Pathgreen Glamping’s incredible Scottish Glen location. Around you, rising up like the skylarks which swoop overhead, are the pine-clad Ochil Hills. A short walk away, a spring water waterfall and plunge pool awaits (don’t be surprised if you spot fairies amongst the mosses).
It is amongst all this natural magic and splendour that you’ll find your home for the weekend: two luxury Scottish larch glamping pods, created and owned by Denise and Grant. Dens of comfort and cosiness, both glamping pods come with stunning floor-to-ceiling glass fronts which are, in our opinion, as striking as stain glass windows. Exactly what tired hearts need to fill-up on vast views and epic dark skies.
White Clover Pod | Sleeps 6
The first of the two pods is White Clover. Sitting a little more off the beaten track than its sister pod, White Clover is a superbly tranquil space for six of you to rest-up and reconnect. This curved, open-plan glamping pod has been carefully furnished and decorated by Denise to calm frayed minds. Inside, it is minimalist in tone with soft white walls, springtime pastel velvet cushions and thick throws.
The L-shaped sofa is serenely comfy and there’s a Smart TV so you can watch a film if you tire of the glorious night sky (you won’t, trust us). There’s also a round dining table that comfortably seats four guests at mealtimes. When it comes to cooking, the fully equipped kitchen has all you need – and there’s a wine fridge and coffee machine to prove this is top-notch glamping.
White Clover sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms – one with two single beds and one with a king-size bed. Two more guests can sleep on the double sofa bed that sits in the lounge area. There’s also a neat shower room with a WC, a sink and all the taps give you fresh Scottish spring water.
The Heather Pod | Sleeps 4
The smaller of the two pods at Pathgreen Glamping, yet no less impressive, The Heather Pod is a gorgeous space of clean lines, snow-white interiors and moss-green soft furnishings. Equally as bright and spacious as White Clover, Heather also has a fully-glazed front so you can feast on the vast skies and epic glen views day or night. She also comes with a modern kitchen that’s thoughtfully equipped for effortless meal prep, and a round dining table for four.
At night, you settle down in a comfy king-size bed in a separate bedroom, whilst two friends sleep on a double sprung sofa bed – all beds are dressed in Egyptian cotton sheets so sweet dreams won’t be a problem.
Outside both pods, there’s a small raised deck and large stone patio area. The views that roll out in front of you are beautiful and best enjoyed, if you ask us, from the private wood-fired hot tubs (which are filled with Scottish spring water). You also have comfy outdoor seating in both pods, a BBQ, a pizza oven and a fire pit for toasting marshmallows as you catch a starfall on an evening.
The Experience
But the crowning glory of your Perthshire short break at Pathgreen Glamping has to be the boutique spa – Meadowsweet Spa – which is only a few steps away from both glamping pods. Inside this softly-lit space with its warm, earthy tones you can enjoy a whole range of excellent treatments. From indulgent facials and massages to reiki, manicures and reflexology – the treatment menu is extensive for whatever type of short break you want.
Denise, the owner and host, is a qualified therapist and the safest of hands. Her natural warmth and gentle helpful nature makes your spa experience truly memorable – and is the icing on the cake for your stay. She’ll give you all the information you need about what to do in the area and help you organise special bolt-on treats if you’re celebrating your birthday, mini moon or anniversary.
In short, Pathgreen Glamping is a little slice of Scottish heaven. We love it.
