It’s virtual book festival time for all you bookworms, thanks to The Big Book Weekend!
There has never been a better time to read – fact. Getting to a book festival, um, you won’t be doing that in person any time soon.
But worry not, book lovers: My Virtual Literary Festival are hosting The Big Book Weekend from Friday 8th May to Sunday 10th May so you can fall into the pages of your favourite novels in true festival style and even wear wellies and colourful clothes if the mood takes you.
This free festival will host virtual book talks with panels and interviews with famous authors. From Jackie Kay, author of The Trumpet and The Adoption Papers, and Alexander McCall Smith, author of The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency, to Michael Morpurgo, author of War Horse, discussing his WWII-themed novels.
The full literary lineup and programme of events can be found on The Big Book Weekend website and each session will be broadcast live.
There’s also a free book club over at My Virtual Literary Festival site with a free e-book that you can download and discuss with fellow book worms in the festival’s virtual cafe. Hot dang, it’s sure to be a page-turner of a weekend!
