Newly renovated and beautifully furnished, The Bothy’s interior is just as lovely as its location. Cute and compact, this dog-friendly ground floor holiday apartment isn’t a squeeze. In fact, it offers ample room for a couple and their four-legged friend to make themselves comfortable here for a weekend of mid-weeker.
The front door opens into a bright and homely open-plan living area, greeting you with warm terracotta tones and tastefully-selected décor. A well-equipped kitchen flanks one wall, housing all the necessities for your self-catering stay (gas hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, crockery and cutlery), plus there’s also sophisticated extras like a Nespresso machine and welcome hamper containing a few local goods and some bubbles. A stylish black table and rattan chairs provides a dining space for two whilst the bold orange sofa set makes a comfy corner where you can put your feet up and wind down in front of the Smart TV.
At the back of the property, you’ll find the bedroom tucked away. The white and gold metal framed double bed takes centre stage showcasing the gorgeous Morris & Co patterned bedding. The warm ambiance continues with burnt orange walls and matching velvet quilt. Ample storage is provided by an open-fronted wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table, ideal for all your weekend belongings. And the spacious bathroom is equally as fashionable. We love the immaculately purple-tiled walk-in shower and complementing John Lewis towels.
Location
Step outside of The Bothy’s terracotta embrace and you really are spoilt for choice with some of Lyme Regis’ best eateries and shops only a casual stroll down the road. The Town Mill Bakery is a must for breakfast goodies and you can’t go without trying the best fish and chips in town from Lyme’s Fish Bar over the road. If you’re in need of refreshment then Lyme Brewery is on hand (or should we say tap), specialising in local craft ales and beers to quench your thirst.
And for those after dog-friendly adventures along the magnificent Jurassic coastline, you’re just a hop skip and a jump away from the beach front and the famous Cobb harbour where sea-air strolls are guaranteed to keep you and your beloved hound happy.
