This fully solar-powered cabin is perched on a secluded hilltop just outside Cheltenham: completely private and utterly peaceful for the two of you. It’s not just another pretty cabin – it’s a full sensory reset.
The Nook was designed by an ecologist who believes that nature and people thrive best when they thrive together. The Cabin
Swing open the glass door and step into your hibernation den. Inside, this self-contained wooden cabin has everything you need not to venture out for an entire weekend: there’s a cosy living space with two-seater sofa, coffee table, books and games and a huge circle window (if all you want to do is cloud watch).
There’s a fully-fitted kitchenette with all the equipment, utensils and simple condiments you need for nourishing meals, including a gas stove. And there’s a bathroom with hot shower and flushing loo. But, best of all, there is a mezzanine bedroom, dotted with fairy-lights, where you can crawl into a warm king-size bed and watch wildlife from the port-like upper window. Feeling human yet?
Outside, there’s a neat patio with comfy chairs ready and waiting for you to settle into and a firepit to gather around. The views from this gently wild hilltop are divine; enjoy them sat with a glass of something cold or slink into the wood-fired hot tub and watch the sun set.
If the air is warm, you can cook al fresco in the outdoors kitchen where you’ll find a pizza oven. We recommend pre-ordering a ‘make your own pizza’ hamper (with home-made dough, fresh mozzarella, herbs and a rich tomato topping for £20) to enjoy a homemade dinner under the stars.
The Location
Despite its remote feel, The Nook is surprisingly well-connected. A 10-minute walk takes you to a bus stop for Cheltenham or Cirencester. Prefer a ramble? Dunkertons Cider Barn, Cowley Manor Spa, or the Green Dragon Inn are all reachable on foot.
And if you fancy sightseeing, you’re just 30 minutes from Bourton-on-the-Water, Cotswold Water Park, and the must-visit Cotswolds villages that give the region its charm.
