Ebba’s Neuk is managed by Cottages.com
Looking for a cosy retreat for 2 near the Northumberland coastline? Ebba’s Neuk cottage-apartment in Beadnell is ready and waiting to be the perfect place to rest your head for a long weekend of midweeker.
Nestled in the superb pin-drop quiet location of the coastal holiday village of Beadnell, Northumberland, Ebba’s Neuk is a luxury one bed self-catered apartment situated on the first floor of a modern cluster of cottages. It is the perfect sanctuary to escape the flurries of everyday life, whether you’re a couple of adventurers looking for a coastal escape or a solo traveller just after a little ‘me time’. And with so much of Northumberland within easy reach, we couldn’t think of a better place to come home to after a day exploring this giant of a county.
The Inside
Step through the door and make your way up 13 steps. When you open the door, you’ll find an apartment that’s a home away from home, furnished for comfort with a capital ‘aaaaaaaahhh’ and reflective of the owner’s sheer love for Northumberland. Everything in it – from the cushions on the sofa, to the hall clock on the wall – has been dreamt about, worried over, and then chosen because it was right for a home. Not because it was right for a holiday let.
Inside, there’s a charming open-plan living space and kitchen with spotless attention to detail. The galley-style kitchen has everything you could need – dishwasher, washing machine, pots and pans a-plenty. The lounge is just the right size for a couple, with a dining table to enjoy good grub and conversation. There’s a wall mounted Smart TV for those wanting to put their feet up in the evenings, or stroll through to the spacious ensuite bedroom if you’re ready to hit the hay.
One thing that’s guaranteed when you stay at Ebba’s Neuk is that you’ll have a truly wonderful night’s sleep. The bedroom is large and stylish with a delightful double bed to sink into, dressed with quality linen and a soft feather duvet, and curtains thick enough to keep the morning light firmly at bay. It means getting proper rest – the kind that refreshes your soul – is inevitable.
Out and About
Slip out the door and there’s a handful of Northumberland’s best places to visit right on your doorstep. Head next door to The Craster Arms or Beadnell Towers, just two Northumberland pubs that are worthy of a visit.
For wildlife lovers and beach fans, Ebba’s Neuk is just a stone’s throw from some of the most beautiful beaches in the UK. A short 5-minute walk brings you to Beadnell Bay: a stonkingly handsome Northumberland beach and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Further up the coast you have the sprightly Seahouses with its lovely beach and Farne Islands boat trips. Further north still, you can take in the tidal sands of mesmerising Holy Island.
Or if visiting the area for some adventurous sightseeing, why not check out some of Northumberland’s incredible castles? From Beadnell Bay, you can see the shadowy outline of Dunstanburgh Castle, which is a few miles south. Travel through Seahouses to Bamburgh and you’ve the mighty Bamburgh Castle to enjoy. Then there’s Alnwick Castle and Lindisfarne Castle, both also within easy striking distance of a car journey. If that’s not enough to keep you occupied for a weekend, we’re not sure what is.
