Glamping in the UK comes in many shapes and sizes. Some glamping sites are so offgrid you need a map and a member of the SAS to find them, others are so bling they could pass for hotels in their own right.

If, like us, you prefer the finer things in life then you’re in the right place. We’ve handpicked a clutch of the best luxury glamping sites in Cornwall that have been designed, built and furnished to the highest standards, for your utter comfort and delight. Smart stays that prove slumming it is so yesterday.

Cabilla Cornwall, Bodmin

Ancient forest glamping with boutique comforts and facilities

So you can forget noise or light pollution, this magical luxury glamping spot is built for rewilding yourself, whilst respecting Mother Nature.

Each timber Koyt proves that you don’t have to be extravagant to be luxurious: the king-sized and twin beds are made by a local carpenter using wood from the surrounding area, and the linens are Egyptian Cotton. Added to that are sheepskin rugs, fat cushions, wool throws, books to read, and log burner to keep you cosy.

A few steps away from your Koyt is a luxury barn, complete with modern wood-panelled facilities including flushing loos, hot monsoon showers, underfloor heating, Bramley toiletries, and fresh towels.

When your tummy rumbles you can cook up a feast in the large, sleek shared kitchen, equipped with all the crockery and utensils you’ll need. There’s also a big dining table to gather around and a cosy lounge area to chill out in. Cabilla Cornwall also host a variety of wellness retreats through the year.

The open-plan inside is neat and cosy – nest-like, you might say. With a wrought-iron king-size bed, a chunky two-seater sofa, a modern log-burning stove, and a pretty kitchen (where you’ll find a mini oven and a two-ring hob), all slotted cleverly into the space. There’s also a surprisingly big shower room with heated towel rails, hot shower, flushing WC and basin.
